Tim’s Travel Blog... RHS Britain in Bloom tour

Amberol’s Business Development Manager, Tim Troman and Roger Hardy from manufacturing have been on a ‘RHS Britain in Bloom tour’ during autumn, travelling the country, celebrating Amberol’s long-standing Britain in Bloom customers at their regional award ceremonies at some stunning venues.

First up, in early September, Tim travelled to Denbigh for the Wales in Bloom Annual Awards Ceremony. Whilst Tim was in Denbigh, he spotted some of Amberol’s self-watering planters looking magnificent and attracting a lot of pollinators!

Roger attended Northumbria in Bloom Presentation event.

Mid-September, Tim attended the East Midlands in Bloom Presentation Event and said: “I love doing these events and meeting all the different communities who put so much effort into beautifying their environments. Met some old friends who have been working with us for years, plus some lovely new friends.”

Tim then headed down South to the London in Bloom Awards taking place at the Arts Pavilion in Tower Hamlets, where he enjoyed speaking to some inspirational people who all care so much about their communities.

End of September, Tim travelled to Tadcaster, the home of the John Smiths Brewery for the RHS Yorkshire in Blooms Awards, where Tim met some old friends, who have been working with Amberol for over 20 years!

On the same day, Amberol attended the Heart of England in Bloom IYN Awards.

Back down South again, at the stunning RHS Wisely venue for the South and South East Awards. Tim said: “What a treat today, it’s a stunning venue! I have met some great people at some fantastic venues on my little RHS Britain in Bloom tour.”

Beginning of October, Tim headed to the West Country to the South West in Bloom Awards hosted at the spectacular Truro Cathedral, that didn’t disappoint!

Tim was back with the bloomers a couple of days later at the Heart of England in Bloom Awards taking place at the Sutton Coldfield Town Hall and had another great day celebrating in Bloom successes.

This time, Tim was joined by Roger Hardy from Amberol at the Cumbria in Bloom Presentation days taking place over three days at the Beacon Portal in Whitehaven. Tim said: “Another fantastic location, I do love a sea view!”

Coming to the end of the RHS Britain in Bloom tour, Tim attended the North West in Bloom Awards at the home of Bolton Wanderers FC and said: “A celebration of the fantastic work by councils, communities and volunteers to enhance the North West region… over 1,000 people coming together over the 3 days, congratulating and rewarding their hard work.”

Unfortunately, Amberol was unable to attend the Anglia in Bloom Autumn Seminar, but brochures were available for the bloom groups.

What a fantastic RHS Britain in Bloom tour! Tim is proud to have supported the regional Britain in Bloom Awards at some impressive venues and said:

“The last couple of months has been incredible, we have had the opportunity to engage with our regional Britain in Bloom customers, some we have been working with for over 20 years, as well as meeting new groups. It has been great to demonstrate our sustainable planters that we can manufacture using recycled plastic! Thank you to all the regional Britain in Bloom groups for making us feel welcome. Next year, Amberol will be celebrating their 30th year anniversary working with Britain in Bloom groups.”
