Amberol to exhibit at the Keep Britain Tidy Network Conference

Once again Amberol will be supporting the Keep Britain Tidy Network Conference by exhibiting at the event which is being held on 10th February 2022. After restrictions around Covid have prevented face to face contact at various points over the last two years, the team is very much looking forward to this opportunity to talk to customers and potential customers in person.

The Keep Britain Tidy Network Conference attracts delegates from a range of areas, including local authorities and housing associations from across England. The conference provides an important chance for service and infrastructure suppliers, business leaders, community leaders and the charity sector to meet and network together.

Celebrating achievement in litter management

The conference also includes the Keep Britain Tidy Network Awards. Both events were held online last year due to the national lockdown so the return to in person networking and learning is very welcome.

The annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation in improving local environmental quality as well as providing a vehicle for members to share good practice. There are ten awards up for grabs with categories that celebrate and include Community Engagement and Litter Initiative of the Year, as well as awards for the Great British Spring Clean and for Young Litter Hero of the Year.

Creating a meaningful dialogue with customers

“Part of the Amberol ethos is to connect with our customers and potential customers so we are better able to understand their needs,” comments Amberol’s MD Patience Atkinson-Gregory. “However, with many expos and conferences moving online over the last two years, it has been more difficult to communicate with a wide range of customers. So, our sales team is particularly excited to be in attendance at the conference this year.”

The Keep Britain Tidy Network aims to bring together organisations with the common goal of making their environments a better place to live, work and visit – which complements Amberol’s mission of making a visible difference to our world perfectly.

Looking to the future

The conference, which is taking place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, is entitled ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ and includes an address on the litter challenges that face delegates, as well as a talk on Cleaner, Greener Streets by Darren Share assistant director of Street Scene for Birmingham City Council. Afternoon workshops include topics such as motivating frontline staff and cleanliness in the public realm.

“The conference will address many of the issues that are critical in tackling litter and we are delighted to be a part of it and demonstrate our support by showcasing the products that we have to help achieve better waste management,” adds Patience. “We hope to meet some new faces as well as catch up with valued customers.”

From standalone bins to animal shaped bins, to banks of recycling bins, Amberol has a litter bin suitable for almost any space.
