Win £1000 worth of products in the annual Amberol photo competition

Entries are now open for the annual Amberol photography competition. With prizes of up to £1000 worth of Amberol products up for grabs, competition is sure to be stiff, so start planning your entries now.

To enter, simply take a photo of any Amberol self-watering container that you see out and about. It could be on your street, on a roundabout, outside a shop or even in a car park. It can also be taken anywhere in the UK (or even abroad – we have self-watering containers as far afield as America and India). You can also submit as many entries as you like. Just email your images to info@amberol.co.uk or use the form at the bottom of our contact page.

Amberol’s MD Patience Atkinson-Gregory is looking forward to seeing this year’s crop of entries. “We love to see what people have done with our containers – from amateur gardeners to professional landscapers, our self-watering containers look truly stunning when they are in full bloom. With the annual Britain in Bloom competition reaching its peak as judging commences around the country, parks, gardens, high streets and town centres are bursting with colourful flowers. Add in the recent fine weather and conditions are perfect for capturing some fantastic pictures.”

Last year’s winner was Terry Bane, Chair of Norwich in Bloom with his photo of Amberol’s Up the Pole baskets located around Shrewsbury Castle (featured above). Pam Henderson of Kinghorn in Bloom in Fife took the second prize with Howard Murphy of Stalybridge and Alison Wilson of Huddersfield sharing third place.

So, you have until the closing date of September 30th to get snapping. Keep your eyes peeled for Amberol self-watering planters (they really are everywhere) and send in your photos. Don’t forget edible plants too!

1st place - goods to the value of £1000
