Tim’s Travel Blog… Stepping into Spring
Tim Troman Amberol’s Business Development Manager has had a busy start of the year, visiting customers around the UK and photographing some beautiful floral displays in Amberol self-watering planters.
The striking blue sky in Tamworth was very much welcomed by Tim, whilst visiting old and new customers. This photo features Amberol’s popular Cup and Saucer Hanging Basket with spring flowers and ivy.
Amberol’s Giant Precinct Planter is perfect for large permanent floral displays. Here’s one taken by Tim in Cleveleys growing a carriage clock, must be the sea air!
Start of another week and Tim met up with Altrincham, a long time Amberol customer to discuss their 2024 plans and admiring their displays in Amberol’s popular Beehive Tiered Planter and Barrier Baskets.
Tim spotted these lovely spring displays in Amberol’s Large Barrel Planters in Barlborough, alongside our Plaswood Bench.
Following the traditional theme, Tim was impressed with the weathering of this Amberol’s Stone Trough Planter spotted in his village whilst walking his dog.
Tim spotted these stunning spring bouquet of colours in Amberol’s Metre Square Planter in Little Leigh in Cheshire.
Another lovely walk by Tim whilst enjoying the abundance of spring floral displays in Amberol’s Planterware planters.
Tim sees a lot of planters whilst on his travels, but this one he loves, as it features Amberol’s Cup and Saucer Up-the-Pole Baskets attached to an old telephone box in Old Bolsover in Derbyshire.
After a lovely day with customers in Sudbury Suffolk, Tim captured Amberol’s Promenade Planters showing off their spring displays, as well as Amberol’s Gum and Ciggy Bins doing their bit to keep everything tidy and clean.
Tim had a lovely day meeting with the ladies from Borrowash in Bloom who were really keen to show him their fantastic efforts in the village, rightly proud and so they should be. Here they are with their stunning spring showcase in Amberol’s Precinct Fountain Planter.
Even during the Easter break, Tim couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful spring display in Amberol’s Quarto Planter with sheep in the background.

Spring/summer 2024 photo competition
Don’t forget to share your photos with us. Our spring/summer photo competition opens for entries on 1st May 2024 and runs until 30th September 2024. Results will be announced in October 2024.
Entering is very easy; just submit your photos of Amberol’s self-watering planters with your wonderful displays via the online form on the Amberol website. Your photos will then be entered into the public vote taking place in October.
