Sponsoring the various Britain in Bloom regions all across the UK is a key way that we at Amberol strive to support the important work of community gardening and the greening of public spaces all across the UK.
As the company’s mission is to ‘make a visible difference’ to our environment, the aims and values of the Britain in Bloom campaign align very closely with our own. So, we are delighted to be able to support this great initiative through sponsorship, as well as by working closely with community groups and local authorities to help them make the most of their self-watering planters and litter bins.
The autumn is always a very special time for In Bloomers as regional and national results are announced. This October, Amberol representatives will be out and about attending different awards ceremonies spanning from north to south, and across to the east. In fact. we feel privileged to be able to join in the celebrations by having a presence at the various awards events.
The Yorkshire in Bloom awards held on 6th October in Tadcaster recognise all areas of the community and includes categories for caravan and camping sites, visitor attractions, youth environmental projects and FE colleges as well as the more traditional town, village and city categories. This year, the Yorkshire in Bloom competition has been run alongside Best of Yorkshire to celebrate the hard work that so many volunteers are carrying out across the region.
Held on 13th October near Crewkerne, these awards are a full day affair with guest speakers. Judges’ surgeries are also being held for entrants after the awards have been announced. As a sponsor of SWiB, Amberol’s representatives will be glad to reconnect with our long term customers, as well as meeting potential new ones.
The Anglia in Bloom awards are also being held on 13th in the imposing surroundings of the Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds. The region includes six counties: Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, and with so many active In Bloom groups it’s sure to be an exciting event for both competitors and spectators.
NWiB aims to “encourage the improvement of our surroundings through the imaginative use of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping,” and “to achieve a litter free and sustainable environment”. This mission will be celebrated at the awards which are being held over three consecutive days:
After the restrictions around the pandemic, we are particularly looking forward to meeting old and new customers on our travels – and to celebrate the great achievements of so many dedicated volunteers. If you are at any of the events, whether you are a customer or not, please feel free to approach us for a chat to find out more about how we can help your organisation make a visible difference.
Good luck everyone!
