Amberol’s litter bins can be found all over the UK and beyond. But there’s one range of bins that really stands out and always puts a smile on people’s faces – our animal bins!
Probably the most instantly recognisable animal is the Percy Penguin litter bin – in fact, he’s a bit like the Amberol unofficial mascot. Percy can also be transformed into a whole flock of different kinds of birds like chicks and canaries just through the application of different colours. So, the staff on the production line decided to experiment a little – and came up with a very special Chocolate Orange version.
He is currently the only Chocolate Orange bird at the Amberol factory, and we are looking for a new home where he can hopefully make a visible difference to litter collection rates.
In fact, our Chocolate Orange bird bin would be perfect for a school playground or a park play area, so we are giving him away to a deserving new home in a brand-new competition.
All you have to do is send us your suggestion for a name for our little Chocolate Orange friend to be entered into a draw to win him for your school, play area or communal space.
To enter, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggested name, plus your contact details including name and phone number and the organisation you represent (if any). the competition is open to anyone.
Please note, the closing date for entries is Friday 3rd April 2020.
Our new chocolate orange special edition is the latest addition to the Amberol standard bin range which includes the popular Ambere bin and the bright yellow Chick bin. Our customers report that the bins are popular with adults and children alike and encourage responsible litter disposal, helping to get the message across to some of our youngest citizens.
Good litter bin design is a crucial factor in the battle to reduce littering and so the bins not only appealing; they are also built to be practical and include the following features:
The sturdy bins can also be customised to include an optional voice box which is activated by a sensor. This means that when litter is deposited, the bin speaks to the person. This feature has helped improve litter collection as both adults and children enjoy the novelty of being thanked by Percy, Chick or Ambere every time they dispose of a piece of litter.
