Amberol website gets a new look for a new decade

Have you visited the Amberol website recently? If not, now would be a good time to take a fresh look as we are delighted to announce some changes. In fact, the whole website has had a bit of an exciting makeover to mark the start of a new decade.

Amberol may have celebrated 50 years in business during 2019, but we are always keen to move with the times, developing new products, modifying and improving existing ones and looking at how we communicate with customers and potential customers. And so, although we have always liked our vibrant website, we felt it was time for a refresh and a facelift.

What’s changed?

The most obvious and instant change is to the home page which shows a video sequence from our Alfreton factory. Yes, our products are all made in Britain, meaning that you are both supporting British businesses as well as reducing carbon emissions caused by importing products from abroad. this means that you can see for yourself some aspects of how our ranges of self-watering planters, benches, picnic tables, litter bins and planterware are made on site in Derbyshire.

Addressing sustainability

Our new website also acknowledges the importance of sustainability in the supply chain. Being environmentally responsible has long been a core value for Amberol, dating back to several decades when founders Jack Williamson and Phil Atkinson began researching then using recyclable materials in the manufacturing process, long before many other manufacturers did. Yes, our products are made from plastic, but all of our products can also be recycled at the end of their long lifespan. In addition, all our black products: planters, litter bins and all our seating and tables are made from recycled plastic. This means that our polyethylene and plaswood products are often a better environmental choice than products made from wood or metal. You can find out more sustainability on our About Us page.

Individual product descriptions

There’s also more information now available online about each individual product from planters to litter bins; from Cup and Saucer Hanging Baskets to the Olympic Dual Recycling Bin to our Games Picnic Table. Each product description details size where relevant and the standard colours available - although we can also customise many of our products in a range of additional colours if required.

There’s also a series of handy tips for planting, creating and maintaining beautiful floral displays, making the website a great source of information and inspiration for everyone - from the amateur gardener through to the experienced Britain in Bloomer and professional horticulturalist.

Advice, competitions, news and events

And don’t forget to visit our useful community hub where you can find out all the latest news about products, initiatives, competitions and events as well as reading general articles about many of the issues that concern our customers – from the use of plastics to advice on seasonal plant ups. It’s also where you can read a range of customer case studies which might help provide some inspiration or help you chose the right Amberol product for your needs.

Want to see Amberol products up close before you buy?

We may believe in moving with the times, but we also believe in the traditional values of great customer service and value for money. So, we are always happy to arrange a no-obligation onsite demonstration at the location of your choice. Just get in touch via our contact page.

And of course, if you can’t find the answers that you want on our website, we are only a phone call away. Just call 01773 830 930 if you want to speak with a member of the friendly Amberol team.
