We are on the lookout for examples of great plant-ups using Amberol’s self-watering containers. If you can think of a display that was particularly successful, we’d love to hear about it! And, if you share your tips, photos and advice with us you could be eligible for a great prize - as well as being included in Amberol’s forthcoming Best Plant Ups booklet.
To commemorate 50 exciting years of working with a range of organisations from councils to theme parks to Britain in Bloom groups, Amberol is producing a handy Best Plant Ups booklet. The guide will be based on our customers’ experiences, containing useful examples and suggestions, and will be available free on request.
All you have to do is send in an explanation of what you planted, preferably with photos. Plant-ups can be floral or contain edibles. Entries should be sent to email@example.com. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 31st December 2019.
Your submission should include information about:
Entries can be in note form as all submissions will be written up by a professional writer to ensure continuity of style and to reduce the time burden on entrants.

First prize - £1000 worth of Amberol products
Second prize - £500 to spend on Amberol products
Third prize - £250 to spend on Amberol products
In our experience, the horticultural community has much expertise and valuable experience to share. It is also a very supportive community, from ground staff to professional landscapers to Britain in Bloom volunteers. As a company that works closely with these dedicated communities, we thought it could be helpful to gather some of the best examples all in one place to share with one another. After all, we all subscribe to one major goal: to make the place where we live, work or visit a better place to be.
“This is our way of thanking customers as well as helping to facilitate the sharing of good practice and celebrating success,” comments Patience Atkinson-Gregory, Amberol’s Managing Director and daughter of one of Amberol’s original founders, Phil Atkinson.
“To thank people for taking part, we felt it was only fair to offer some form of thank you – and so we decided to make it a competition, giving people the opportunity to be rewarded for taking the time to share their ideas and suggestions. We are excited to see what people send in.”
To be considered for inclusion in the booklet, please email your recipes for success and images to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact details. Remember that the closing date for entries is 31st December 2019. Winners will be announced in early 2020.
