The results of the 2023 Britain in Bloom UK finals are in, and we are delighted to see so many Amberol customers winning Gold, Silver Gilt or Silver awards for their gardening achievements.
Overall winner…
A big congratulations to Newcastle-under-Lyme who scooped the top prize of ‘Overall winner’, having won Gold award in the ‘Small City’ Category and crowned ‘Category’ winner. They scored highly across the 2023 judging criteria that included horticulture, the environment and community engagement. The group has been involved in Britain in Bloom for more than 30 years. Other stand-out entrants…
Brandon in Bloom CIC were first-time UK finalists and won a well-deserved Gold award and were also crowned ‘Overall Winner’ of the ‘Town’ Category. The judges praised their efforts to reduce pollution and green up their high street. We feel proud that our self-watering Promenade Planters got a mention in their accolade for displaying eye-catching displays. Read more about their achievement here.
Abergavenny in Bloom, another first-time Britain in Bloom UK finalist, was awarded a ‘Discretionary Award for Sustainable Gardening’, for going above and beyond to protect the environment. Abergavenny in Bloom have been an Amberol long-standing customer for over 20 years and we managed to catch up with them this summer to find out how they have been using our self-watering planters. They are even still using a 24-year-old Amberol planter! Click here to read Amberol’s case study with Abergavenny in Bloom.

“A huge congratulations to all the Britain in Bloom winners and finalists. I have enjoyed meeting so many of them at the regional Britain in Bloom Awards this autumn. Next year is an exciting year, Amberol will be celebrating their 30th year anniversary working with Britain in Bloom groups, while Britain in Bloom will be marking their 60th year anniversary and putting sustainability and biodiversity at the forefront of their criteria. We can’t wait to work with the Britain in Bloom groups on their entries for next year.”
