Amberol launches online shop for individual customers

The month of September will see an exciting first - the launch of Amberol’s new online shop for domestic customers.

Up until now, Amberol has largely worked with organisations such as businesses, councils, schools and community groups like Britain in Bloom supplying self-watering planters, litter bins and outdoor seating.

However, we do frequently get enquiries from individuals keen to use our self-watering planters in their private gardens. These queries have often been hard to fulfil due the fact that our sales processes are geared up to larger wholesale orders. This makes it costly for the individual consumer in terms of shipping – and for ourselves in terms of administration.

A website designed for the individual customer

But with demand from individuals steadily rising, it seems that now is a good time to launch an online Amberol shop designed specifically for these smaller orders. By creating an online shop, we are able to tailor processes and shipping to ensure that they suit individual customers better.

So, we are delighted to announce that customers looking to purchase up to a maximum of five items, can now buy them via our online shop here.

What can you buy online?

We have calculated which are our most popular self-watering planter lines and added those ranges to the online shop. Items that can currently be bought online include:

All planters are self-watering using Amberol’s unique Aquafeed™ technology which means that even during hot spells, planters need only be watered once or twice a week at most.

“The self-watering facility is always a really popular feature and a key selling point for our containers. It seems that individuals are increasingly looking for the convenience that this offers in private gardens,” comments Amberol’s MD Patience Atkinson-Gregory. “As a result, we have been looking at ways that we could fulfil customer demand in a way that is both commercially viable and simple for our customers. All prices are inclusive of VAT so customers know exactly what they will be paying with shipping calculated at checkout.”

Choose the best sales route for your needs

The online shop is better suited to domestic customers. We would advise that commercial customers, including Britain in Bloomers should continue to order via the sales team in the usual way.

“By talking to us and ensuring that we get to know their requirements, we are able to help our commercial customers select the right product for their individual needs. This solid customer relationship has always been an important part of our ethos as a company and we aim for that to continue,” adds Patience.
