Amberol introduce new virtual demonstration service for customers

Making connections and building relationships with our customers has always been the cornerstone of our ethos here at Amberol. In fact, many of our customers have worked with us for decades. We like to think that these trusting relationships combined with high levels of personal service makes us stand out from the crowd.

One of the features that had always been an important part of our customer service pre-Covid was the face to face demonstrations and sales visits carried out by our reps. We maintained these services when other companies didn’t for two main reasons:

  1. Personal contact has always been a key way of building and maintaining relationships, which in turn enables us to serve our customers better.
  2. The quality and durability of Amberol products is best appreciated in real life. There’s no hiding an inferior product when face to face and we have always been confident that the quality of our products is proven by real life demonstrations.

Moving forward into a post-Covid era

However, as we all know, Covid has changed the nature and frequency of face to face contact. We have all adapted to the regulations and rethought many areas of both our personal and professional lives as a result. And at Amberol we are no different; we have reflected back on the changes that we have been compelled to introduce. As we slowly re-emerge into normality, part of that reflection has included retaining and adapting the practices that have actually improved our business processes.

As a result, we are introducing a new virtual demonstration service for customers and potential customers which will enable you to see our products in detail remotely. This means that wherever are, you will be able to see any Amberol litter bin or self-watering planter in 360 degree view.

How the demonstrations will work

We are just putting the finishing touches to a new demonstration area at our Derbyshire factory which offers ample space to showcase our wide range of litter bins and self-watering planters.

  1. You will be able to book a bespoke demonstration in advance online either by emailing sales@amberol.co.uk, by calling us on 01773 830 930 or contacting us here.
  2. You will then access the demonstration at the agreed time via a link that will be sent to your email address. The demonstration should be simple to access and there will also be step by step instructions in the email invitation.
  3. A demonstrator will be online in the demonstration area to show you the product(s) that you wish to see.

FAQs

What platform do the viewings take place on?

Viewings take place on the Zoom or Microsoft Teams platforms that many people are already familiar with.

Do I need to have Zoom or Microsoft Teams on my device?

Yes, whichever platform you are using will need to be downloaded onto your device before the demonstration. Both platforms offer a free downloadable option.

Will the demos be recorded?

No, every demo will be live and bespoke for the audience.

Will it be interactive?

Yes, the demonstrator will explain the product’s features and show you a 360 degree view. You will also be able to ask questions.

How many people can attend a viewing?

As many as you wish. You can share the link with others who may wish to join in.

After careful consideration and consultation with some customers, the management team at Amberol decided that remote demonstrations offered a range of significant benefits for customers:

  • They are Covid compliant irrespective of any rule changes and therefore the safest way to view Amberol products
  • They are a greener way of demonstrating our products; reducing emissions caused by unnecessary mileage
  • They offer more flexibility
  • They can take place anywhere with no need to travel
  • They can take place any time within office hours
  • They are easier to organise for everyone concerned
  • As many people can attend as wish to
  • They are less time consuming
  • The customer can still see the product in 360 degree detail close up
  • There is an opportunity to have any questions answered
